About NONNA Books

With interest growing in the publication of children's books, it became apparent that the ROMAR Press needed to distinguish this important category and create an "imprint" specifically for children's books. Not only will this give readers a clear and immediate understanding of the kind of books grouped under Nonna Books, but I also hope aspiring authors and illustrators of children's books will recognize the importance ROMAR Press places on their success. 

I chose the name for one simple reason: "Nonna" is the name I'm called by my four grandchildren. A little while before the first one was born, I had a dream that someone was calling out to me in the dark, shouting "Nonna! I'm coming." Yes, I took that as a sign and announced then and there that I would forever be known as "Nonna" to the grands. "Nonna" left their lips shortly after the required "mama" and "daddy." 

I'm happy to work with authors and illustrators of children's books, and two wonderful books are forthcoming! Check back soon for more details, and do contact me if you have a manuscript and/or illustrations.
